Gal Genossar and Nati Brooks, creators of a short film, tell the story of the Macedonian Jewish community, of which only 2.5 percent were saved in the Holocaust.

The Short film 'The Monopol' is based on the family story of screenwriter Nati Brooks.

The dialogue also includes behind-the-scenes glimpse of our journey into making this historical narrative film. We enlarge on the consequences of the liquidation of Macedonian Jewry, about the storytelling process from the research stage (with Holocaust survivors) through the film's production, and about the relevance of this story to our time

What does the meeting include?

"This private screening was more than just a viewing; it was an emotional bridge connecting the harsh reality of the past with the hopes of the present and the promise of the future. It emphasized the importance of commemoration and the educational power of sharing personal stories while honoring and recognizing survivors..."

Hadar Elimelech - "Amech" association

"The meeting began with the screening of an exciting film that conveys in an authentic and touching way the difficult to impossible human situations faced by the Macedonian Jewish community and dives deep into the family story of the filmmaker.
After that, there was a fascinating discussion about the process of making the film and the importance of raising awareness of the subject, especially these days,

Highly recommended!!! "
